Psalm 130

This beautiful Psalm recognises the despair of estrangement from God as a consequence of sin. Yet it also emphasises that God will hear and forgive when we come in repentance before Him and that, not just for us as individuals but for His people as a whole, there is abundant mercy and full redemption.

"The aim and final end of all music
should be none other than the glory of God
and the refreshment of the soul."
J. S. Bach
